RE: Updates when purchasing Rocket Spanish

Postby Jillian » Mon Jun 26, 2006 9:51 am

Hola Amy,

I just purchased Rocket Spanish and downloaded it on Saturday evening. Does the downloadable version contain the most recent updates? I see that this update was completed in February and I downloaded it Saturday, June 24th, 2006.

Thanks so much for your help. I have just been dabbling in the Rocket Spanish course as I am finishing up another class. I cannot wait to get started.

The downloadable version always contains the most recent updates! That's the fantastic aspect of a web-based learning system. As opposed to traditional textbooks, which can only be updated yearly at best due to the cost of producing them, a web-based product can be updated and uploaded within minutes.

I hope you enjoy Rocket Spanish!

Advanced Book

Postby Hombre » Fri Jul 21, 2006 6:45 am

Are there any plans to offer the Advanced book in audio? I really get a lot out of the Beginners audio.

Yes the plans are there but it will be some time before they are realized. I hope I can tell you more in a few weeks.

I purchased the downloadable version of Rocket Spanish in 2007. Since then I have due to pressure of work not been studying. Now I have more time and am returning to study in earnest I find that the Bonus audio and Beginners audio will / have not downloaded. So while I have the book I cannot follow the audio or receive the Bonus audio.

Is there anyway I can re download these or get around the problem.

Note : Since purchasing the course my E mail address has changed to the current one.

Thanks for a great course.

Is there an audio form of the beginner's book. The old website had it as a separate file. I can't find it on the new site.
What I am looking for is a audio for the numbers etc. I find some of this in the grammar section but not all the numbers.
Thanks

Hi, I'm a new user, just signed up a week ago.

I'm not quite sure what is supposed to be included in the course, nor where to find it.

For example, is the "Beginners Book" discussed in this thread the same as the "ConversationCourse.pdf" (12.5 MB) that I find in 10.4? If not, where do I find it?

Basically all I have found so far is the stuff under the blue bars on the "My Course" page. Is there someplace else I should be looking, or is everything there?

I am new, too, and I can not find the Beginners Book or the Advanced Book. Why doesn't somebody at rocket spanish tell us what to do? I sent an e-mail and they told me where to find the Conversation Course and the Vocabulary Supplement. I already found those and did not even ask about them.

Hola soozequ. Bienvenida al foro. I don't know why you didn't get a more relevant and useful response from Rocket Spanish. However, I think I can now answer your question. Earlier today, I posted a partial answer here:
http://spanish.rocketlanguages.com/language-resources/beginner-s-guide-t1435.html. I suggest you read that. HOWEVER, when I wrote that response, I hadn't really looked carefully at the content of the lessons available in the Learners Lounge. I've now taken a more careful look and compared what I found to the contents of the Beginners Book and the Advanced Book (which I got when I bought Rocket Spanish several years ago). It turns out that the content of those two books is now incorporated into the Grammar and Culture section of each lesson in the Learners Lounge. The contents of the Beginners Book now make up much of the Grammar and Culture sections of Rocket Spanish Premium, while the contents of the Advanced Book are now the Grammar and Culture sections of Rocket Spanish Premium Plus. So apparently all this material is still available, just in a different form. I don't know why someone couldn't have told you this from the start.
