Teaching English in Mexico

Postby ozicoyote » Tue Feb 13, 2007 8:20 pm

Hi, I downloaded Rocket Spanish a couple of weeks ago and have surprised myself with how much I am retaining (as opposed to a classroom course I did many years ago).
I plan to visit Mexico on vacation AND business within the next year or 2.
I would also someday like to teach English there. I have searched for information on the web but can't find too much.
Most websites DID mention that you do not have to be fluent in Spanish to teach English but by the the time I get there I know that Rocket Spanish will have helped immensely.
Any information in regards to any qualifications I need to work and teach in Mexico would be appreciated,
Gracias :D

You should have at least a TEFL certificate.
It's not a difficult course and it will give you a good idea if you never have been in teaching before.

You can use google to find a school near you
